The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia achieved second place globally in the number of major awards won at the ISEF 2025 competition, held in Columbus, Ohio, USA, after the United States.
This significant national achievement is a continuation of the Kingdom's successes in this scientific field, as it also ranked second, after the United States, in last year's ISEF 2024 competition.
The Saudi team, comprised of 40 students, won 23 international awards, including 14 major awards and 9 special awards, during its participation in the competition, which included more than 1,700 students representing 70 countries worldwide.
It is worth noting that ISEF is considered the most important and largest global platform for research and innovation projects by school students. Entries are evaluated by a select group of international scientists and experts, giving participants a unique opportunity to showcase their scientific abilities to a global audience of specialists.
