Excellence Program
The Mawhiba Program for Admission to Prestigious Universities "Excellence" is an integrated training program to qualify and prepare the best students wishing to study at prestigious American universities ranked among the top 50 universities in the world. The program is implemented in cooperation with a specialized American consulting company and continues for one year starting from the second semester of the second year of high school until the student obtains admission to the university.

Advantages 

In this program, the student gets many advantages, the most important of which are:

  • Intensive SAT training workshop to help students achieve the required score from prestigious universities
  • Advanced workshop on leadership training and application procedures for prestigious universities
  • Four individual counseling sessions during which a comprehensive plan is designed to develop the academic aspects and personal history of each student.
  • Assisting the student in applying to three prestigious universities (writing the essay, CV, filling out forms and obtaining recommendations)

 

Conditions for joining the Mawhiba Program to join prestigious universities - Excellence 

Note : Registration for the program is available from August to October of each year, and is implemented starting in November for a full year.

 

Target group

Second year secondary school students.

 

Program registration requirements

1. The student must be a science track student.

2. The student must have obtained a minimum of 90% in the school average for the third intermediate and first secondary grades.

3. The student must have obtained a score of no less than 90% in the scientific subjects, computer science and English language, as an additional condition for comparison when seats are limited.  

4. The student must obtain a score of no less than 1000 on the SAT test or one of the following alternative tests:

*Please note that priority in admission is given to those who have an acceptable score on the SAT test.

5. The student must pass the personal interview.  

6. The student must read  the terms and policies and adhere to all program requirements .

7. The student must pay the financial contribution after being notified of acceptance into the program, in order for his/her final registration into the program to be approved .Payment Policies

  • To be from a family registered with social security.
  • To be a son of martyrs.

Notice
  1. The financial contribution to the program does not cover the registration fees for tests and university applications. 
  2. Any additional amounts related to attending training workshops in Riyadh, such as travel and accommodation costs, are the responsibility of the student. 
  3. Children of female citizens are treated as Saudi students in terms of financial contribution.

** The additional insurance amount  is refundable after completing the program.

Mechanism for participation in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)

A qualifying workshop is held for all students who won the Creativity Exhibition for Science and Engineering, with the aim of selecting projects that represent the Kingdom internationally at the International Science and Engineering Fair “ISEF”.

Qualification for Excellence

King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) offers a number of services and programs that provide the best educational opportunities for its gifted students, including the “Qualification for Excellence” program. Through the program, students are prepared and qualified to meet the admission requirements for the Mawhiba Program for admission to prestigious universities “Excellence” which begins in the second year of secondary school. This stage is the first step in the student’s journey to seek admission to the best American universities.

 

Conditions for joining the Mawhiba Program for admission to prestigious universities “Qualification for Excellence” 

 

Note:

Registration in the program is available for first-year secondary school students during the month of February of each year, and it is implemented during the period from April to May of each year.

 

Target group
Students of the National Program for Giftedness Identification from the first year of secondary school.
 
Program registration requirements
  1. The student must be of Saudi nationality or have a Saudi mother. Other non-Saudis will be accepted, not exceeding 10% of the total number of students.
  2. The student must obtain a score of 1310 or higher on the Mawhiba scale for mental abilities.
  3. The student must obtain a score of no less than 80 on the STEP English Proficiency Test, or its equivalent in alternative international tests:

Program Services

  • The program trains students for the SAT test in its two sections: Mathematics and English.
  • Three days a week for 6 weeks, totaling 54 training hours.
 
After the program
  • Students receive a certificate after completing 80% of attendance in the program.

  • Increase the student's chance of being accepted into summer programs at prestigious American universities.
  • Increase students' chances of being accepted into top American universities

Training times 

Training is provided 3 times a week (Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday)

Sunday and Tuesday From 4 to 6:30 pm
Saturday From 4 to 8 pm

Groups will be determined based on the student's level after he/she takes the pre-test.
